Grain of Salt

Definitely the best tasting curry-tandoori-butter tasting food !! The service is good too. We usually take out as there is always enough for a work lunch the next day.... MMMMMM!!

Excellent butter chicken!

The food is spectacular. You know you have found a solid source of curry when you need not look past the vegetarian section. The food is authentic, unlike most of what you will find in KW/Cambridge.
The portions are huge. I always take half home for the next day. The prices are also excellent for the quality of food provided.

I haven't visited Grain of Salt yet, but I detest it when the reviews are OBVIOUSLY written by the owners. Please...has anyone else visited this spot, and will you write a review?

Grain of Salt has the best butter chicken and naan I've ever tasted. I have been to at least 6 other authentic indian restaurants throughout waterloo region and the GTA. None of them are as good as Grain of Salt.

The butter chicken is mildly spiced and bursting with flavor. The naan is at the level where when you put it in your mouth, you are in speechless ecstasy, esp. when you dip it in the sauce.

Portions are very generous. Prices are good. And service is excellent.

Excellent food, butter chicken was delicious but a bit skimpy of a portion for $15.00.

Grain of Salt is a treasure. The naan bread is made on premises and compares to the best I've had in Toronto in much more expensive Indian restaurants. I normally visit for lunch because they have a wonderful special that features a taste of curry (your choice), daal, naan, basmati rice, yogurt and tandoori chicken along with just enough sweet rice pudding and vegetables. All of that for under $10!

The service at Grain of Salt is as excellent as the food and I was pleased and surprised to be remembered on my second visit. This is my first choice for dining in and they're always happy to provide take out.
